2Sox back on their feet!

After more than a decade away from league competition, the Leicester 2Sox are officially back!

Last seen competing in the BBF between 2010 and 2015, our second adult side will return to British Baseball Federation league play in 2026, marking the next chapter in the continued growth of baseball in Leicester.

The revival follows a hugely positive 2025 season, which saw the successful return of our first team to BBF competition. Building on that momentum, we also launched an Adult Development Team last year, providing structured and competitive schedule of games for new and improving players.

Our 'dev team' went on to play a full programme of friendlies home and away against Newark, Sheffield, Leeds, Birmingham and Wragby.

The shared experience, growth and team culture built last season forms the foundation of the Leicester 2Sox reboot in 2026.

Competing in BBF Division 4 Central

The 2Sox will compete in the newly formed BBF Division 4 Central in 2026, lining up alongside:

• Birmingham Bats

• Northants Centurions

• Milton Keynes Bucks 2

  
  

The league structure provides the perfect platform for developing players, returning players, and those looking to take the next step in competitive baseball.

Whilst the 2Sox squad will be built around the nucleus of last season’s development team, there is plenty of room to grow.

We are actively recruiting new faces to boost the roster and complete beginners are especially welcome!
